Ice Skating - Heidelberg

During the Christmas season many towns put up skating rinks. Heidelberg's is in Kornmarkt, under the shadow of the castle - a perfect setting! Our kids tried it out several times and had a blast! Jeff and I didn't want to break anything (given the 50 steps to our front door) so we just watched and had some gluhwein. Here are a few pics - often blurry because they were going too fast!

Joseph graduated from the penguin really quickly and soon was doing hockey stops and skating backwards. Ellen rollerblades a lot so she did really well right away. Daniel took a little longer but he was skating without a penguin in due time too!
