Hinterburg Castle

The boys did not have school the first week of November (Fall Break). We had a nice shopping trip to Manheim, the boys had friends over to play and on Friday we went to Nuremburg to see the city and visit friends. One day during this school vacation week we drove to one of the castles Jeff drives by every day to and from work. It is only about 15 minutes by car from our house. We hiked up to the castle and explored a bit. Ellen had school. Joseph's friend Colin came along. Construction of this castle was started in the early 1100's.


























The boys always have to imagine what it must have been like to defend the castle.
